Milivoje Novakovič captains Köln
By: klaus | December 12th, 2008With Ümit Özat suffering from myocarditis, Köln has handed the armband to Milivoje Novakovič, which the Slovenian international doesn’t take lightly. When asked of what it means to him, he responded:
“It’s a great honour for me to captain Köln. It makes me proud and I want to pay back the team and the club for their faith.”
In being asked of tomorrow’s match against VfL Bochum and the form of both clubs he noted respect for the opposition:
“Bochum have a strong team and are up to scratch. They just weren’t able to turn it into results. It will be a tough match. We want to take the points in order to have a relaxed holiday.”
