Lukas Podolski to come home

By: klaus | January 1st, 2009

It is by no means a secret but Lukas Podolski is unhappy with his life in München and anxious to return “home.” I have stressed the notion of returning home because while most of the attention is focused upon lack of playing time under Jürgen Klinsmann the biggest consideration of this matter is that he wishes to raise his young family in Köln and return to the club where his career developed. While Christoph Daum’s first efforts to bring the twenty-three year old goal scorer “home” was apparently turned aside by der Kaiser, the club is still intent of having him a part of the club shortly.

However, as reported in Bild, if Prinz Poldi needed a bit more inspiration to return to Köln, Orchester-Manager Winfried Fechner and Conductor Mihhail Gerts have the perfect musical backdrop. With the musical score written by Thomas Frerichs and lyrics by Alida Pisu “Holt den Lukas nach Haus” just might be the final piece to bring him home to Geißböcke.

If Lukas does return to FC Koln, then maybe I will start to like him a lot more…

He should, Munich although doing well, is being spatted on for their TOO agressiveness play including multiple fouls.
